The five-star La Griffe Roma in Rome has a palatial 19th century exterior – painted in a shade of buttercup yellow with wrought iron Juliet balconies and white columns flanking the windows – you can’t really fail to notice its grandeur. Inside, it’s a different story; interiors are elegant, stylish and modern – think sleek red leather sofas, glossy reflective surfaces, contemporary artwork and hydro-massage bathtubs in the bathrooms. A highlight of the hotel has to be the 9th floor “La Luna” restaurant and roof garden. It offers incredible views over the city in a chic setting and serves creative Mediterranean cuisine, cooked by award-winning chefs.
On the 10th floor there’s an additional roof terrace with two hot tubs and a solarium. You don’t have to sacrifice style for location here either – Le Griffe is located on the Via Nazionale – between Piazza Venezia and Piazza della Republica, just 10 minute walk from Termini railway station and 1 minute from Roma Metro station. It’s a perfect setting for sightseeing (and those rooftop views) as the Trevi Fountian is only a 10-minute walk away.
